Black Friday Tips
1. Check Out the Black Friday 2009 Ads
The more ads you see the better. Make sure you check the newspaper as
well as online black friday websites. Not all sales are listed in print
and retailers are starting to offer web only sales.
2. Do Your Research
Get your research out of the way as soon as possible. Make sure you
are getting your money's worth. Check user reveiews to make sure you
are buying a good product.
3. Compare 2009 Prices
Make sure you do price comparisons on the items you are interested in.
4. Early Bird Shopper Discounts
Get there early. It's that simple. You can scout out the store a day
in advance to see if anyone is in line. Make sure you check back often.
.
5. Thanksgiving Eve 2009 Discounts
Internet shoppers can beat the early birds by shopping online on the
night of Thanksgiving. Some stores such as CompUSA will be opening at
11:59 p.m. on Thursday.
6. Bring the Ads with You
Showing the store clerk the physical ad (and the number of items available
in store) will give you the upper hand. Sometimes they are even willing
to cut you a deal even though they don't have the item in stock, or
didn't have the amount of items promised in the ad.
7. Know the store policies
Knowing the store policies on returns can help you determine where to
buy. Some retailers will not allow returns and will offer items as-is.
8. Know your limit
If you are having trouble saying NO to good buys, make sure you contact
the Black Friday Anonymus Hotline.
